Life

In my country, people value certificates than impact, people put money above lives. We respect the wealthy and look down on the poor, we celebrate thieves and laugh at the honest. We serve the public servants instead of they serving the citizens or the country. 

Young people are buying passion and skills instead of finding their passion and gifts. People are buying success instead of making it. Everything is about money and certificates. 

Growing up, none of us liked some kind of teachers in our schools, especially during the earlier parts of our lives. These are teachers who will give us the worst punishment when we go wrong, just to make sure we get it right, yet they were our least favourite. As bad as we labelled them, looking back now, we can all be proud and say such individuals were some of the best things to ever happen to us. They taught us the hardest lessons, helped us get rid of bad habits, instilled discipline, good morals and character and good attitude in us. 

There is one statement which always strikes me "Happiness is a choice"; and I believe there are a lot of people out there who may think otherwise about that. How are you supposed to be happy when people do things intentionally to hurt you? How are you supposed to be happy when people around you look for the least opportunity to bring you down? 

Women don't need men; a woman is a need to a man and not the other way round. Until every woman knows this and not be the one who needs a man, the one chasing men for marriage but rather becoming the one a man needs, any relationship with a man in the name of marriage will amount to nothing. 

If I should ask you this: "Were you proud of all the things you did in the previous year"? I wouldn’t know your answer but I am not proud of everything I did the previous year. However I can boldly say I am very proud of what I learnt from my actions, and that might be the difference between us.

As we begin the new year, many people are busily making resolutions; it is a good thing to do but the question is, how effective will this be? I am very sure the same thing was done for the previous year.
