Love That Kills

Sometimes when you listen to peoples' love stories, you ask yourself, Is falling in love a blessing or curse? Some people are in immense pains now because of falling in love; some have become bitter as a result of falling in love, whilst others end up killing themselves.

If you are single and can't wait to fall in love, please pause and think twice. Falling in love is so easy; anyone can fall in love with anything. There is nothing wrong with falling in love; the trouble however is falling for the wrong person.

Giving your heart to one person, power to one person to destroy, you, trusting and hoping that they won't. Getting committed to one person who is not ready to be committed to you is dangerous to your life. Building a future with someone who has no plans of staying with you only leaves you devastated.

It is not by accident when the bible cautions us "Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts" - Proverbs 4:23 (MSG). Falling in love is one decision than can end your life, and this is something we should all be careful about. It is far better being single than being in a relationship with someone who makes you cry, who hurts you with their words and actions.

Singles these days are so concerned about appearance and material things; desperation for attention is the order of the day, thinking any good looking man or woman who can provide those things automatically becomes their spouse. They end up holding on to hands that cause them so much pain yet can't let go. Loving the wrong person costs you your life, you only break your own heart by doing that.

We should take time to get to know people before entrusting them with our heart. The truth is no matter how you trust yourself, your own teeth bites on your tongue. Being a friend allows you to know them better.

Most at times, we fall for words which shouldn't be the case. You can know whether someone loves you or not by the way they treat you. The bible says "Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be" - Matthew 6:21 (NLT). How they feel about you tells you where you belong in their life.

Again, never let anyone rush you into love, no one rushes things they want to last forever. If they are putting pressure on you, it is not love. Be brave enough to say good bye and life will be generous enough to reward you with a new hello.

In conclusion "The wise are cautious and avoid danger; fools plunge ahead with reckless confidence" - Proverbs 14:16 (NLT).

Please share with your friends, someone out there needs this.
